Ultra-lux is a standard, not a price point.

There are Maldives resorts that charge ultra-lux prices and deliver a premium resort experience. OV uses the term specifically. The properties in this collection are chosen because the experience matches the claim across every dimension, not because of the rate category.

OV's role in an ultra-lux booking is not to confirm a reservation. It is to ensure that everything the property can do—contracted inclusions, pre-arrival coordination, villa selection, dining arrangements—is deployed before you arrive. The difference between an excellent ultra-lux stay and an extraordinary one is often determined before check-in.

Staff-to-villa ratios above the category standard. Not adequate — exceptional. Guests should not need to request service; it should anticipate them.

Multiple dining venues operating above a threshold that holds internationally. The food must be one of the reasons a guest would return — not an obligation between activities.
